Ingredients: Water, barley, hops, and yeast
Malt: Superior Pilsner, Maris Otter, Crystal (55, 25, 85), Pale Chocolate
Hops: Galena (60), Ahtanum (30), Willamette (0)
Aroma: Malty caramel in aroma with moderate earthy hop and light pear aroma
Appearance: Copper in colour with brilliant clarity. Moderate off-white head with moderate retention
Flavour: Medium hoppy bitterness with earthy and floral undertones. Medium maltiness with a light caramel flavour and crisp dry finish
Mouthfeel: Medium to light body with medium carbonation
James Cleland Richardson, VC, was a Canadian Scottish Regiment’s piper and a recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest and most prestigious award for gallantry that can be awarded. Richardson disappeared during the Battle of the Somme after going back to retrieve the bagpipes he laid aside to bring back a wounded comrade.
